Friday, May 15, Mackenzie had muffins with moms at her school. I was so proud of her. She knew my favorite store is Cato's. Of course, when I am not pregnant, since they do not sell maternity clothes. She also said, "If I could, I would buy my mother a really pretty outfit for Mother's Day." She is so sweet!

Yes, a snake on the back porch. I have two emails out to experts to help figure out what type of snake it is. Yes, it is dead now, but we need to know incase we find more. Not a mother's day morning I wished for. Thank God, Oreo, our dog, kept going after it. Eric, Tom's friend helping with the building, saw it's head hanging out of the flowers on the back porch. Tom got Kaitlyn back in the house while Eric kept Oreo away from it. Tom was able to get kill it. Yuck!

As if our lives are not exciting enough Tom bought 24 chicks for the girls to take care of. He build two containers to split them in half. We had them for 4 wks or so I can not believe how much they eat & drink. They grow fast. After his new shop gets built he will built something on the ground for them to stay in.

Mackenzie's friend, Jackelyn, came home Wednesday afternoon with us. Oreo really likes Jackelyn. Kaitlyn loves playing with Jackelyn.

Wednesday was dress up day. She wore her Easter dress. So beautiful!

Monday was Hawaiian day. She wore the floweriest shirt she had along with a grass shirt.

I forgot to take a picture of her Tuesday when she had clash day. She really enjoyed this week of variety dress.

Tom took Thursday off so we could go to the Houston Museum of Natural Science & Health. We started the morning off at Denny's for breakfast. We went to health museum first, because we actually found a parking spot there first. We had so much fun learning about the human body. We then walked in the Houston Garden Club smelling the roses. We finished off at the Museum of Natural Science & the Genghis Khan exhibit. After leaving the museum area Kaitlyn fell asleep in the van so we drove around a little. After she woke up we had a wonderful meal at Pappasito's Mexican Restaurant off Richmond. I do not know why but the Richmond location has better food than the one in Webster. We never eat at the one in Webster. We had a great time together Thursday.

Last Monday we went with Tom to Jones road & 290 to pick up a car. Well, we stayed in the area all day. We had lunch at the great Mexican food place. We then went to WillowBrook Mall. We got Kaitlyn's ears done, went to build a bear & the disney store. It was Kaitlyn's first time to do build a bear. Her favorite part was washing her dog. Our mall does not have a disney store anymore so being able to check out the disney store at WillowBrook mall was a treat for Mackenzie.

Monday, December 8, Mrs. Baer gave Mackenzie the Christian Character Award. Mackenzie received a certificate & was able to take Brownie Bear home all week. Friday, we wrote a paper about how Brownie Bear spent the week at our house with us. We are so proud of Mackenzie for receiving this special award from your teacher.

This afternoon in our mail our Thanksgiving card I sent for a recovering american soldier came back returned-unable to forward. So, I found the correct info:

Thursday, after school, we meet grandma at the Chick-fil-a at Victory Lakes that was opening that day so we could celebrate Kaitlyn's birthday with grandma. One of Mackenie's classmates, Brennan, was there with his family sitting at the booth behind us. Mackenzie was so happy to have a classmate to play with. Ok, I know it is early but I put together a playlist of Christmas songs from Bing Crosby just for your enjoyment. When Kaitlyn & I went into JC Penny this morning & heard Christmas music playing I knew I just had to add Christmas music to my blog. I actually just was working on it Sunday afternoon so I would have it ready for Thanksgiving day. Getting ready for the holiday season would not start off right without the voice of Bing Crosby. What is your favorite Bing Crosby song? I would say mine is, White Christmas. Other recording artist have tried to sing some of these songs but no one else does them better than this Hollywood legend. I also have two other Christmas playlists that I will switch during the next few weeks. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Perry Coma, & Amy Grant are a few of the other artist in the playlists that I will add after you get into the Christmas mood with Bing Crosby.

We are getting back to normal after hurricane Ike. It helped Mackenzie starting back to school on Monday.

Mackenzie went home with her friend, Jackelyn, this afternoon. They were going to the Veggie Tale show in Sugarland. She was so excited. Kaitlyn has been saying, "sissy" today so I know she misses her big sister.
Kaitlyn & I had lunch with some friends from Gloria Dei at Chick-fil-A. Kaitlyn had her own ice cream cup. She loved feeding herself the ice cream. Boy, she is a character.

Well, Mackenzie has been waiting for her first tooth to come out & it finally did tonight after I put her to bed. She is very excited. She cleaned her tooth & put it in a bag so she can take it to school tomorrow. I am glad she lost it this week since she is the superstar student of the week. She was so brave-no tears!
